The talk presented the GreenTraINT needs analysis, an action-oriented and participatory study aimed at identifying priority topics for new higher education courses in agriculture, livestock, and biodiversity conservation in Seychelles. The analysis involved 84 stakeholders from education, government, NGOs, community organizations, and environmental and agricultural sectors.
The needs analysis highlighted food security as the main national priority, with agriculture and livestock identified as key sectors, especially in crop production and food safety. Biodiversity conservation emerged as a cross-cutting theme, while stakeholders expressed a preference for short, practical, and professionally oriented training delivered in-person or in hybrid formats.
